Remote for Hitachi TV: WiFi IR

Use your Android phone as a remote for compatible Hitachi TVs. Choose WiFi control for TVs that support network remote commands, or infrared (IR) control on a phone with a built-in IR blaster. Before you start WiFi mode requires a compatible TV and your phone on the same WiFi network. IR mode requires an IR blaster in your phone. Installing the app does not add infrared hardware. Support depends on your TV model, phone and connection method. TV remote controls The app includes controls for volume, mute, channels, directional navigation and OK, plus Home, Back, Menu and power. Available buttons and their behavior depend on the selected mode and your TV. Power-on over WiFi is not available on every TV. WiFi remote Choose Connect over Wi-Fi and follow the connection steps. Your TV must support a compatible network control service. Complete pairing or allow mobile remote control on the TV if requested. Being on the same network alone does not make every Hitachi TV compatible. Infrared remote Choose Use infrared and select an available Hitachi remote profile. Point your phone's IR emitter toward the TV. If the TV does not respond, try another profile. Infrared commands do not use WiFi, but matching TV codes and an IR-equipped phone are required. You can browse profiles on a phone without an IR blaster, but it cannot send infrared commands. A backup for your physical remote If your usual remote is misplaced or its batteries are flat, the app can provide another way to send supported TV commands when the requirements above are met. It is not a universal remote for every television. Compatibility and language Hitachi TVs use different hardware and TV systems. Some models or commands may be unsupported. Store listing translations do not translate the app interface; app menus are currently in English. Independent app This is a third-party app, not an official Hitachi product.
