Golf league scores, handicaps, skins and standings on every player's phone
Run your golf league from the course, not a spreadsheet. Tapin puts the league on every player's phone: scores go in on the course, and match points, league handicaps, skins and the standings add up by themselves. The whole league sees them the same night. FOR PLAYERS • Your match for the week: who you play, the strokes, and the points as they come in. • Keep score for your group on one phone with big buttons. Strokes are marked on the holes where they fall. • Your league handicap, your rounds and your best net, always up to date. • A reminder on league day: who you play and which nine. • Works with poor signal on the course; scores catch up when you are back in range. FOR THE SECRETARY OR COMMISSIONER • Start a league in minutes: the course card with par and stroke index, the format, the first league night, the tee time and the roster. • A round-robin schedule made for you, with the nines alternating front and back, or 18 holes. • Rain-outs, absences, subs and closest to the pin. • Send one six-character code; players join and pick their name. No accounts, no emails. • Post the week's results and the standings to the league's group chat in one tap. FORMATS • Two-person teams: A plays A and B plays B, plus points for the team total. Handicaps decide who is A each week. • Match play: player against player, with points for each hole won and for the lower net total. • Stableford: everyone against the field on net points. • Points per hole, per total and per team are yours to set. LEAGUE HANDICAPS • Worked out from the best of each player's last rounds, at the allowance you choose (for example the best 3 of the last 5, at 90%). • New players use a starting handicap until they have enough rounds. Plus handicaps are supported. SIDE GAMES • Gross or net skins, closest to the pin on the par 3s, and the week's low net and low gross. THE STANDINGS • Season points for every team or player, updated the minute a card is in. • Each player's season: every card, gross and net. Tapin is free, with ads. There is no sign-up: your phone joins the league with its code. Tapin keeps a league handicap from league rounds; it is not an official Handicap Index.
