Website uptime monitor with keyword checks, SSL expiry alerts and down alerts.
UptimeOwl is a simple website uptime monitor for Android. Add the URLs you care about and the app checks them in the background, alerting you when a site goes down, when it comes back, and before its SSL certificate expires.
Website monitoring
• Monitor any HTTP or HTTPS URL
• Choose GET or HEAD and the status code you expect (for example 200)
• Keyword checks: alert when a page does or does not contain a word or phrase
• Check every 15 or 30 minutes, or every 1, 6 or 12 hours
• Pin important monitors to the top of the list
Alerts
• A notification when a site stops responding as expected, and again when it recovers. A failed check is retried before the site is reported down, so a single blip doesn't trigger an alert.
• SSL certificate alerts 14, 7 and 1 day before an HTTPS certificate expires
• Quiet hours: alerts inside the window you choose arrive silently
Uptime and response times
• Uptime, average response time and check count for the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days
• Response-time chart for each range
• Up to 31 days of check history per monitor
Check history
Browse checks across all sites, filtered by monitor and by up or down status.
Home screen widget
See how many monitors are up and which ones are down, with a refresh button.
Background checks
Checks run with Android WorkManager, so monitoring continues when the app is closed. Android limits background work to roughly every 15 minutes, so UptimeOwl answers "is my site up?" rather than offering second-by-second monitoring.
Material 3 design in light and dark. Good for developers, small-business owners and homelab admins who want a lightweight check on their sites without signing up for a service. No account required.
Free and ad-supported. Optional one-time purchase to remove ads.
