After the latest update, MariaDB/MySQL no longer works correctly in my Alpine Linux environment. mariadbd aborts with “Please consult the Knowledge Base to find out how to run mysqld as root!” and there is no mysql system user by default. This worked before the update. Please check if the update changed MariaDB’s user configuration, permissions, or service setup. Thank you.

This app doesn't interferes with any of mariadb databases , Try reinstalling mariadb. I think some of its config changed/overwritten. That should solve the issue. And disable auto-updated for this app in play store. So that any update doesn't break the app/linux. Current version is the stable version & new updates won't be coming for some time.
