A Bible verse on your home screen, new every morning. No account, no ads.
Anchora puts one Bible verse on your home screen and changes it every morning, with the app closed. Turn on the evening verse for a second one each day, at a time you choose. Want the next one now? Tap Next verse in the app. EVERY VERSE, NO UPGRADE NEEDED • 1,616 verses, chosen by hand, in three translations: the World English Bible (public domain), Ivan Ohiienko's Ukrainian translation (CC BY-SA) and the Russian Synodal translation of 1876 (public domain) • The reference always sits under the verse • No repeats: a verse comes back only after you have seen all 1,616 • Save the verses you want to keep, and share the verse of the day or a saved one as a 9:16 card for stories and messengers • 10 plain colours and 8 patterns for the widget • Works offline. No account, no ads, no analytics, no internet permission; the purchase goes through Google Play ANCHORA PRO, ONE PAYMENT Pro adds beauty around the verses, never more verses: • 492 photo backgrounds: sea, sky, mountains, hills, fields, roads, rivers, desert, snow and candlelight, in light and dark • All 140 patterns • 48 backgrounds for share cards, picked on a preview No subscription, nothing to renew, nothing to cancel. READABLE ON ANY BACKGROUND The text colour is chosen for each picture, so the verse stays readable on a bright sky and by candlelight. The text fits itself to the widget, and you can resize the widget on the home screen. ON TIME, WITHOUT NAGGING The verse changes at about the time you set, and a phone restart does not skip it. To save battery, Android may hold the change back for a few minutes. No notifications, no streaks, no pop-ups. The app speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian. A phone set to Ukrainian or Russian gets that translation; any other phone gets English. You can switch the translation any time in Settings.
