Mom & Dad pop up when you scroll too long. App limits + a daily report card.
Remember Mom shouting "phone rakh do!" from the kitchen? Preyu brings that voice to your phone, in the nicest way. Pick the apps that eat your day and set a daily limit. While you scroll, a cartoon Mom, Dad or both drop by for a few seconds through a little window or the door at the edge of your screen, over whatever app you're in. They say what parents say, and then they leave you to it. 👪 YOUR PARENTS, ON CALL • Choose Mom, Dad, or both as a tag team • They peek in when you open a watched app, worry as your limit gets close, and properly lose it when you go over (with a soft red glow around the screen) • Proud when you put the phone down early, happy when you take a long break • Four parenting styles: Cool, Loving, Dramatic and Strict • Playful or plain lines, your choice • English or Hinglish: "Bas karo ab. Seriously." 📝 A REPORT CARD, EVERY DAY • Every day gets a grade from A+ to D, with handwritten remarks from Mom and Dad • A weekly report card with your days under the limit, daily average and best streak • Look back at every report card, month by month • Share your card as an image. Brag about the A+, or own up to the D ⏱️ SCREEN TIME THAT MAKES SENSE • One daily time limit across the apps you choose: social media, video, games, news, anything • A big, clear "time left today" number on the home screen • See where your time went, app by app • Streaks, your longest break, and how today compares with yesterday • Time left at a glance in the notification bar 🎨 MAKE THEM YOURS • Skin tone, hair colour, a touch of grey (or lots), glasses, moustache or beard, bindi and clothes • Give them a name to call you, so the nagging feels personal 🤫 POLITE BY DESIGN • Short, rare visits with a built-in limit on how often they can drop by • They stay quiet on maps, calls and the camera • Quiet hours at night, plus "Nap 1h" whenever you need peace • Tap them away twice and they take the hint • They wait while you're in landscape, so videos and games stay uncovered • Your taps pass through around them, so they never get in the way 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no ads • The apps you use, your daily totals and your report cards stay on your phone • Anonymous usage statistics help improve Preyu, and you can switch them off in Settings → Privacy • No advertising ID HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose who's watching: Mom, Dad or both 2. Pick the apps you want to spend less time in and set a daily limit 3. Allow Usage access, so Preyu can count time in those apps (it can't see what's inside them) 4. Allow "Display over other apps", so your parents can drop by That's it. They'll take it from here. WHY THESE PERMISSIONS • Usage access: counts how long your chosen apps are open, on your device only • Display over other apps: shows your parents for a few seconds at the edge of the screen • Notifications: the status notification Android requires, plus limit reminders Preyu won't lock you out of your apps. It's a funny, familiar nudge that helps you notice your phone habits and make your own choice. Think of it as your parents, minus the actual lecture. Less doomscrolling, more life. Phone rakh do. 📵
