Hide photos, videos and files in an encrypted vault with PIN or fingerprint lock
Veylo is a private vault for the photos, videos, documents and audio you don't want anyone else to see. Everything you add is encrypted on your phone and opens only with your PIN or fingerprint. YOUR FILES STAY ON YOUR PHONE Veylo encrypts each file on your device before it is saved. Your files, file names and thumbnails are never uploaded to our servers. Without your PIN or fingerprint, the vault can't be read, even by someone who copies the phone's storage. STRONG ENCRYPTION • Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, each with its own key • Your keys are protected by your PIN and by the phone's hardware security chip (Android Keystore) • Too many wrong PINs lock the vault for a while, so guessing doesn’t work HIDE ANYTHING • Photos and videos, chosen in the Android photo picker • Documents, PDFs, audio and other files • Option to remove the originals from your gallery after hiding them (Android asks you to confirm) • Share to Veylo: hide a photo or file straight from your gallery or file manager, without opening the vault first DISGUISE THE APP ICON Make Veylo look like a different app on your home screen: • Calculator: a fully working calculator. Type your PIN and press "=" to open your vault • Clock: a working world clock. Press and hold the time to open your vault • Weather: a working weather app. Press and hold the temperature to open your vault You can switch back to the Veylo icon at any time in Settings. QUICK, SECURE UNLOCK • 6-digit PIN • Fingerprint unlock (on supported phones) • Auto-lock when you leave the app or after a time you choose • Screenshot and screen-recording protection, and a blank preview in Recent apps ORGANISE AND VIEW PRIVATELY • Folders, search, sorting and filters • Built-in photo viewer, video player and document viewer: files open inside Veylo and are never saved unencrypted to your gallery • Trash with restore, for files you delete by mistake • Unhide: move files back to your gallery or downloads when you choose FORGOT YOUR PIN? Sign in to your Veylo account to reset your PIN. A recovery key is stored in your account. It opens your vault only on the phone that created it, together with that phone's security chip. You can also reset your PIN with your fingerprint if fingerprint unlock is on. YOUR ACCOUNT Sign in with Google or with email and password. Your account keeps PIN recovery working and helps us support you. You can close your account at any time from Settings; your files stay on your phone. IMPORTANT Veylo keeps your files only on this phone. If you uninstall Veylo, reset the phone or lose it, the files in the vault can't be recovered. Unhide anything you want to keep before you uninstall or change phones. PERMISSIONS AND WHY WE ASK • Photos and videos: used only when you add photos or videos, so Veylo can find the originals and offer to remove them from your gallery. You choose every item in the Android photo picker. • Fingerprint (biometric): to unlock the vault with your fingerprint, if you turn it on. • Notifications: to show progress while large files are being added to the vault. • Foreground service: to keep adding files in the background until the import finishes. • Internet and network state: for sign-in, PIN recovery and your account. Vault files are never uploaded. • Advertising ID: used for analytics. You can reset or delete it in your phone's settings.
