Classic mahjong: match pairs of tiles and plan every move
In classic mahjong, one well-chosen move can reveal several pairs. Decide which tiles to remove first: those at the edges or the pair covering a lower layer. Work through layered layouts and find your way to the final pair. Mahjong solitaire is easy to learn: both tiles in a pair must be uncovered on top, and each must have at least one free side, on the left or right. There may be several matches to choose from. Removing the first pair you notice can leave other tiles blocked. Look at how the tiles are arranged and choose an order that lets you clear the whole layout. Play levels with layouts that vary in shape and difficulty. Smaller boards make it easier to see the whole solution. With denser layouts, you'll need to consider several layers and find a way to reach the tile you need. Daily challenges offer separate puzzles to return to between the main levels. A short tutorial helps you get started with your first pairs. A hint highlights an available pair, while undo lets you try a different move. If you enjoy logic puzzles, try solving a tricky layout on your own: finding the answer feels all the more rewarding. White, three-dimensional tiles with a ceramic finish and bamboo, circle and dragon symbols recall a real mahjong set. Removed pairs fade smoothly away, revealing the board as it changes. The most satisfying moment is removing the final pair and seeing an empty board. One layout cleared; time for the next.
