Check your current GPS speed in km/h or mph. Record a session of up to one hour and review each minute's average speed alongside signal coverage. No account is needed. Precise location and Google Play services are required; GPS conditions affect readings. CHECK SPEED WITHOUT RECORDING Open the app to see your current speed once precise location access is enabled and a usable signal is available. Switch between kilometres per hour and miles per hour. RECORD UP TO ONE HOUR Start a session for a walk, run, bike ride or journey as a passenger. A recording can continue with the screen locked for up to one hour. A visible Android notification shows that recording is active; finish from the app or notification. Device power restrictions may interrupt recording. REVIEW MINUTE AVERAGES See your session duration, average speed and signal coverage, with an average for each recorded minute. Averages use periods with usable measurements. Stops are included when measured; missing signal is not treated as zero speed. SEE SIGNAL GAPS Poor reception is shown as unavailable data or a gap rather than an invented reading. When coverage is incomplete, the recorded average may not represent the full journey. Reception and accuracy depend on your phone and surroundings, including buildings, tunnels and satellite visibility. KEEP YOUR HISTORY LOCAL Reopen saved sessions and delete them in the app. No account is required. Speedometer does not save route coordinates or a map, and it has no ads or in-app purchases. BEFORE YOU START Android speed measurement requires precise location permission, location services and Google Play services. Set up the app before moving and interact with it only when it is safe. Speedometer is not a certified vehicle instrument and does not provide navigation or route maps.
