You are a god. Somewhere below, a single hero walks the land - and it listens for you. Land of Cains is a pixel-art god game. You don't control the hero directly: it fights, travels and makes its own choices. You guide it. Tap the land to send an oracle, strike its foes with thunder, heal it, answer its prayers - and watch it carve a path through a living world. FAITH AND AWE Every miracle has a price. The hero's faith is your power: spend it on oracles and divine acts, and earn it back when the hero succeeds and when you answer its prayers. Each thunderbolt fills the hero with awe. Let faith run dry, or let awe turn into terror, and the hero walks away from its god. Keep the balance. A WORLD THAT REMEMBERS - A hand-drawn pixel world of meadows, swamps, snowfields, deserts and ruins - Towns that grow from small hamlets as the land around them is made safe - Dungeons with bosses that grant new divine powers - Hidden treasure, ancient landmarks and beacons that reveal whole regions - Fog of war: the world opens up as your hero explores A HERO WITH A LIFE OF ITS OWN - Choose a calling for your hero and rise through more than 120 classes - Recruit townsfolk as companions who fight at the hero's side - Your hero speaks: it tells you when it is afraid, doubtful or grateful A BLOODLINE THAT ENDURES Heroes fall. When yours does, its journey is retold on the map - and a child from one of the towns it visited carries on, inheriting part of its strength and its best gear. Your god's rank and your family's records live on from generation to generation. This is an early demo (v0.0.1). Features, balance and progress may change or be reset in later versions.
