First release: six instruments, scales, songs, a 3-tone tuner and recording.
Play handpan, tongue drum, kalimba, singing bowls, steel pan and gong.
Dinglo puts six beautiful instruments on your phone: handpan, steel tongue drum, kalimba, Tibetan singing bowls, steel pan and gong. Each one is built from a real 3D model and played by a sound engine tuned from measurements of real instruments — every note rings, fades and overlaps naturally. PLAY IT LIKE THE REAL THING • Multi-touch: chords, rolls and fast patterns • Keep your finger on a note to mute it • A firmer, bigger touch plays louder • Slap the handpan's shell for a percussive hit • Slide across kalimba tines or steel pan notes for a glissando • Circle the rim of a singing bowl to make it sing • Other notes hum along softly, like on a real instrument • Room sound: studio, hall, cave or temple SCALES FOR YOUR INSTRUMENT • 8 handpan scales: D Kurd 9, D Celtic Minor, D Hijaz, F# Pygmy, C Major, C Aegean, A Kurd, G Mixolydian • 4 tongue drum scales with numbered tongues • Build your own scale to copy the instrument you own LEARN SONGS AND RHYTHMS • Public-domain songs as numbered tabs, filtered to fit your scale • The next note glows on the instrument and waits for you • Listen first, change the tempo, then play along • Handpan rhythms with ding, tones and slaps TUNER FOR YOUR REAL HANDPAN • See how far each note is from pitch • The fundamental, octave and compound fifth are measured separately — the three tones a handpan is tuned to RECORD AND SHARE • Record straight from the instrument: no room noise, no microphone • Share recordings as audio files PRIVATE AND OFFLINE • Works offline. No account. No ads. • The microphone is used only by the Tuner, live; nothing is recorded or sent anywhere. FREE AND PRO Handpan and tongue drum are free to play.
