Block distracting apps with an OW key or an OW QR code.
OpenWhy blocks distracting apps with a physical key. Tap your key, and the apps you've selected will close until you tap it again. You can leave the key out in the open, on your desk, or by the door. Every time you want to open those apps, you'll have to get up to find it. HOW IT WORKS • Activate the OpenWhy Accessibility service. This allows it to detect when you open a blocked app and close it instantly, even if OpenWhy is closed. • Register your OW Key by placing your phone on it or scanning its QR code. • Choose which apps to block: social media, videos, games, and other distracting apps. • Tap the key to activate the block. • Tap it again to unlock the apps. DESIGNED TO PREVENT CHEATING • While the block is active, you can't remove apps or keys without using your key. • You get three emergency unlocks per month for when you really need them. • Works with NFC tags and also with QR codes if your phone doesn't have NFC. YOUR PROGRESS STATS • Check your streak of days and hours you spent focused. • See which apps you tried to open while they were locked. • Project your focused hours over a year and compare them to the number of books you could read in that time. • Set a daily goal and see which days you met it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts. • No ads. • No internet connection required. • Your data stays on your phone. OW Keys are sold separately. Learn more at openwhy.ux.ar
