Text clock widget for your home screen. Time in words, 10 languages, no ads.
Boring Clock is a word clock widget for your Android home screen. Instead of numbers, it spells out the time in words: IT IS HALF PAST TEN. It's a minimal, aesthetic text clock that looks like an object rather than an app. It's called boring because it does one thing, quietly: it shows the time in words and stays out of your way. FOUR CLOCK WIDGETS • Graphite: the plain letter grid, no chrome. 2×2 or 4×4. • Bloom: glowing letters with a date column. 4×2. • Console: a bezel, a date strip and minute dots. 4×4. • Verse: the time set as a sentence, in large type. 4×2. PREMIUM MATERIALS (PRO) • Etched brass: a milled plate with warm filament light. • Warm paper: pressed card with ink letters. • Anodised aluminium: a brushed face with one raking highlight. MAKE IT YOURS • Five highlight colours: Blurple, Brass, Phosphor, Paper and Ember, a dim red for dark rooms. • Ten backgrounds, from deep ink to slate, moss and bronze. • Seven fonts: DM Mono, Poppins, Nunito, Raleway, Quicksand, Tomorrow and Roboto. • Changes show on the widget straight away. TIMED MESSAGES Write your own line and give it a time window. It appears under the clock at that time and disappears when the window ends. Use it as a gentle reminder, a note to yourself, or a nudge to stand up and stretch. TEN LANGUAGES The word clock reads the time in English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Nederlands, Svenska, Русский and हिन्दी. LIGHT ON YOUR BATTERY The widget redraws once every five minutes through your launcher's own update. Nothing runs in the background. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No ads • No account • No network permission Your clock never goes online. HOW TO ADD THE WIDGET Long-press an empty spot on your home screen. Tap Widgets. Find Boring Clock and drag out the type you want. Open the app to choose your colour, material, font and language. Boring Clock is for anyone who wants a calm, minimalist home screen: a word clock widget, text clock and aesthetic clock widget in one.
