My OCR turns pages of books and notes into editable text. Photograph a page, and the text is recognized right on your phone. My OCR turns pages of books and notes into editable text. Photograph a page, and the text is recognized right on your phone. Capture as many pages as you need, save them as a single text file, and translate them into the language you want. CAPTURE PAGE BY PAGE • Recognizes Korean, Japanese and Chinese text, together with English and other Latin-alphabet text • Capture several pages in a row and browse them one page at a time • "Enhance faded pages" improves recognition of old or faded paper • Pages where no text is found are not added, so you can simply try again TRANSLATE RIGHT AFTER CAPTURE • Turn on translation and see each sentence with its translation directly underneath • The source language can be detected automatically for each page, or chosen by you • Choose from more than 50 translation languages SAVE AND MANAGE TEXT FILES • All captured pages are saved as one plain .txt file • Save to a folder you choose, such as Documents/myocr, so files can be opened in a file manager or copied to a PC, and stay even if you uninstall the app • Text files you add to that folder from a PC appear in the app too • Read, translate or delete saved files, and switch between the original and its translations TRANSLATE SAVED FILES • Translate a whole file page by page, with progress shown as it goes • Each page is saved as soon as it is translated; if you stop, translating again continues with the remaining pages • Keep translations in several languages for the same file WORKS ON YOUR DEVICE • Text recognition runs on your phone • After a language's translation model (about 30 MB) is downloaded once, translation works offline • Manage downloaded models, and limit downloads to Wi-Fi if you like • The camera is used only to capture pages; the internet is used to download translation models ALSO • Light and dark themes • App available in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese • Built-in guide: tap the (i) button on the main screen Tips for best results: use even lighting, avoid shadows and glare, and capture one page at a time with the lines of text straight. Note: Translations are stored inside the app, so uninstalling the app removes them. Your saved text files remain in the folder you chose.
