Heartbeat Timeout Alert** Guard2 periodically sends heartbeats to a cloud server. If no heartbeat is received for more than 2 hours of monitored daytime activity, an email alert is sent. This can detect when a phone goes offline or is powered off. **2. Screen Unlock Inactivity Alert** If the screen has not been unlocked for more than 6 hours of monitored daytime activity, Guard2 sends an email alert, even if the phone remains online. **Monitoring Schedule** Inactivity is counted only between 07:00 and 23:00. Overnight hours (23:00–07:00) are excluded. For example, if heartbeats stop at 22:00, the 2-hour threshold is reached at approximately 08:00 the next day, provided no heartbeat resumes. ## HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Guard2 with the device user's knowledge and consent. 2. Set a device nickname and notification email addresses. 3. Tap **Start** to activate monitoring. 4. Guard2 automatically sends heartbeats and tracks screen unlock activity. 5. The cloud server detects inactivity and sends alerts when thresholds are exceeded. Tap **Stop** to suspend monitoring. Stop is temporarily unavailable during startup protection.
