Touch lock prevents accidental taps while videos play. Unlock with a volume key.
Keep your video playing without accidental taps. TouchPause pauses touchscreen input while the video or app keeps running. Tap its Quick Settings button, confirm, then press your selected volume key to restore touch. No root or floating button is required.
Use it while cleaning your screen, tracing an image, presenting something without accidental taps, or keeping controls untouched while media continues to play.
HOW IT WORKS
• Add the TouchPause tile to Quick Settings.
• Choose Volume Up or Volume Down as the physical release key.
• Start your video or open the content you want to keep on screen.
• Tap the TouchPause tile, read the warning, then confirm to pause touch.
• Press the selected volume key to restore touch. A brief message confirms it is back.
TOUCH CONTROL ON ANDROID 14+
TouchPause uses a user-enabled Android Accessibility service to pause touchscreen and stylus motion without root. Only during an active pause, the service receives touchscreen and stylus motion, including positions and timing, and filters hardware keys. It receives all hardware-key events only to detect the selected volume key and forwards unrelated keys. All events are processed only on the device and discarded immediately. TouchPause never reads screen content and never stores or shares touch, stylus, or key events.
TouchPause requires Android 14 or newer and uses Volume Up or Volume Down as the release key. Touch exploration or another service that filters hardware keys can make touch pausing unavailable. The app never requests root access.
TRY IT FIRST
Start with 20 free pauses, then get 2 free pauses each day. Only a successful pause counts; setup failures and restoring touch do not. If you use both daily pauses, you can wait until tomorrow or buy unlimited use once through Google Play. No subscription.
