Private mood tracker: two taps a day, a year in pixels, what goes with good days
Mood Tracker is a private mood diary and daily mood tracker app. Log how you feel in two taps, watch your year in pixels fill with colour, and see what goes with your better and harder days. A private mood journal that stays on your phone: no account, no AI. HOW IT WORKS Every evening (or whenever you like) pick one of five faces, from awful to great, and save. That is a whole check-in. If you want more, tap what you did today, add a short note, or back-date a day you missed. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Two-tap check-in with five calm, drawn faces: no stickers, no cartoons • Activities you choose: sleep, exercise, friends, family, work, outdoors, reading and as many of your own as you like • Year in Pixels: one coloured square for every day of the year; tap a day to see or edit it • Insights: your average mood, how many days landed on each mood, which weekdays tend to be easier or harder • What goes with your good days: for each activity, your average mood on days with it and without it, in plain counts • A clean PDF summary you can share with your therapist or doctor: a day-by-day mood calendar, the activity table and your check-ins, with notes only if you include them • Export a CSV for a spreadsheet • A gentle daily reminder at the time you choose, back after a restart; skipping is always fine • PIN lock: the app asks for your PIN and hides its content in recent apps • Save a backup file and restore it on a new phone • Colour-blind-friendly colours, light and dark themes, 19 languages PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your check-ins, activities and notes are stored on your device only. There is no account and no cloud. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for anonymous usage and crash reports, and Google AdMob for ads; no mood, activity or note is ever sent with them. There is no paywall: statistics, the year view and the 30-day summary come with the app. FOR PEOPLE WHO KEEP A MOOD LOG A simple emotion tracker for anyone who wants to remember how the days really went: people keeping a mood journal for themselves, people asked to keep a mood log before an appointment, and people who want a mood tracker for chronic illness, to see how the days feel alongside a long-term condition. IMPORTANT Mood Tracker is a personal diary. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Patterns in the app are counts of your own check-ins, not causes. If you are struggling, talk to a healthcare professional. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number. The app's support page lists where to find a helpline.
