Simple Background Remover does one thing and gets out of the way: pick a photo, the background is removed automatically, save the result. No account, no sign-up, and your photos never leave your phone. Four taps from opening the app to a transparent PNG. Everything else is optional. AUTOMATIC BACKGROUND REMOVAL • Pick a photo and the subject is cut out for you — no tracing, no tapping around the edges • Runs on your device, so it works on your own photos without uploading them anywhere • Soft edges rather than a hard cut-out, so hair and fine detail survive • Works offline: a person model is built into the app for when you have no connection FIX WHAT THE AUTOMATIC PASS MISSED • Erase and Restore brushes for the bits any automatic tool gets wrong • Adjustable brush size, and a soft or hard edge • Pinch to zoom right in on an edge, and paint with one finger • Undo and redo, all the way back BRIGHTEN THE SUBJECT • Indoor photos are often too dark once the background is gone — one slider fixes it • Brightens the subject only, leaving the background you chose exactly as you chose it CHOOSE WHAT GOES BEHIND • Keep it transparent and export a PNG with a real alpha channel • Drop in a solid colour — presets, or any colour you like from a colour wheel or a hex code • Use another photo as the background, and move, zoom or rotate it into place CROP AND RESIZE • Portrait-first crop shapes: 1:1, 3:4, 4:6, 4:5, 9:16, or free • Crop to an exact pixel size when you need one • Resize in pixels or in centimetres, with your own DPI — the app shows you the pixel result as you type • Aspect ratio is locked by default, so nothing is ever stretched unless you turn that off yourself SAVE AND SHARE • PNG for transparency, JPEG when you have a solid background, WEBP if you prefer it • Told plainly when a format cannot keep transparency, instead of silently flattening it • Saves to its own album in your gallery, or to any folder you pick • Share straight to WhatsApp, Telegram, email, Drive or anything else on your phone PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking • Camera permission is asked for only when you tap Take Photo — and no storage permission is needed at all • The photo you started from is never modified, and the app keeps no copy of it Good for profile pictures, document photos, product shots for selling online, and anywhere you need a clean cut-out without learning a photo editor. Note: automatic removal uses Google ML Kit on your device. The general subject model is delivered by Google Play services and may download once the first time it is used; a person model is bundled in the app so removal still works offline. Your photos are never sent anywhere.
