Count Reels & Shorts, set a daily limit, stop doomscrolling. Free, no ads.
Reels Counter is a free reels counter and Shorts tracker that shows how many Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts you watch each day. The live count sits in a small island around your phone's front camera, so you notice the moment you start doomscrolling, set a daily limit and take back your screen time. 100% FREE: no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription and no account. WHY COUNT YOUR REELS? Short videos are designed to keep you swiping, and it's easy to lose count. Seeing the real number right where you're looking is the simplest way to stop doomscrolling and scroll less without deleting your apps. THE COUNTER ISLAND • Appears only while you watch Reels or Shorts, and hides when you leave • Green up to 30, yellow 31–60, red from 61, and a pulsing warning from 100 • Tap it to open your dashboard; long-press for a quick summary • Change every limit to suit you DAILY LIMITS AND GENTLE NUDGES • Short messages when you reach your limits • A pause card at 100 reels that pauses the video, with "I'm done" as the main choice • Optional 15-second breathing break • Reminders for long non-stop sessions and late-night scrolling YOUR SCREEN TIME DASHBOARD • Reels and Shorts watched today, minutes spent and average seconds per reel • Today by hour and the last 7 days • Sessions and your longest stretch • Late-night reels and how often you chose to stop • What the time adds up to over a year WORKS WHERE YOU WATCH • Instagram, Facebook (and Facebook Lite) and YouTube apps • Reels and Shorts in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera and other browsers • Each Reel or Short counts once, even if you swipe back to it PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No internet permission: your data never leaves your phone • No account, no ads, no analytics • Delete everything at any time in Settings QUESTIONS Does Reels Counter block Reels or Shorts? No. It doesn't block or hide anything. It counts every Reel and Short, warns you at your limits and pauses the video at 100, so you stay in charge of when to stop. Is it really free? Yes. Reels Counter is completely free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. Why does it need Accessibility? Reels Counter uses Android's Accessibility service only to recognise when Reels or Shorts are on screen in supported apps and browsers, and to count each new one. It doesn't read your messages or passwords, and it never sends data anywhere. You turn it on yourself, after a clear explanation in the app. A simple reel tracker for digital wellbeing and a dopamine detox from short videos. Reels Counter is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, Facebook, Meta, YouTube or Google.
