Text Expander Keyboard turns short text shortcuts into full text, in any app. Type "pgm" and your email address appears. Type "addr" and your full address appears. It's autotext and text replacement built right into your keyboard, with no extra app or accessibility service to set up.
Stop retyping the same things all day. Save your email, phone number, address, or a reply you send ten times a week behind a short abbreviation once, and the keyboard types it for you from then on.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a trigger: any word or abbreviation you like.
2. Enter the text it should expand into.
3. Type the trigger in any app. The trigger disappears and your text appears.
No account, no sign-up, nothing to configure.
WHAT TO SAVE AS A TEXT SHORTCUT
• Email addresses and phone numbers
• Home and work addresses
• Email signatures and sign-offs
• Canned responses and saved replies for support, sales, and chat
• Quick reply messages you send every day
• Text snippets: order numbers, reference codes, usernames
• Code snippets, commands, and file paths
• Long names, technical terms, and words you always mistype
• Greetings and standard messages in any language
TEXT MACROS AND QUICK ACTIONS
Some triggers do more than paste text. Link a trigger to an action and it runs the moment you type it:
• Insert today's date
• Insert the current time, 12-hour or 24-hour
• Insert the day of the week
• Paste whatever is on your clipboard
• Select all, select before the cursor, or select after the cursor
Type "crd" and today's date is inserted. The trigger word is removed automatically, so only the result stays.
A COMPLETE KEYBOARD, NOT JUST A TEXT EXPANDER
Text expansion runs inside a full-featured keyboard, so you don't give anything up:
• Glide typing: swipe through words without lifting your finger
• Word suggestions and autocomplete as you type
• Languages and layouts for the keyboards you actually use
• Clipboard keyboard with history and pinned items that never expire
• Full emoji keyboard with search
• Smartbar for suggestions and quick actions above the keys
• Light and dark themes, with adjustable key height and spacing
• One-handed mode for large phones
• Haptic and sound feedback you can tune or turn off
• Incognito mode, which stops the keyboard learning from what you type
YOUR PRIVACY
A keyboard sees everything you type, so here is exactly what this one does with it:
• What you type is never uploaded, logged, or sent anywhere
• Your shortcuts, clipboard history, and learned words stay in the app's private storage on your device
• What you type is never used for advertising
• No account and no cloud sync
The app does connect to Google services to show ads, verify purchases, and send crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. These never include anything you type. The privacy policy explains exactly what is collected.
FREE, WITH OPTIONAL PREMIUM
Text Expander Keyboard is free to use with up to 5 text shortcuts. Watch a short video ad to unlock more, or go Premium for unlimited shortcuts and no ads. Premium is available as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Ads only appear inside the app's settings screens. They never appear on the keyboard itself or while you're typing.
WHO IT'S FOR
If you answer the same emails, fill the same forms, send the same replies, or type the same address over and over, a text expander saves you those keystrokes every day. Support agents, salespeople, writers, developers, students, and anyone who fills in forms on a phone get the time back fastest.
GETTING STARTED
Android asks you to enable a new keyboard before you can use it. Open the app, follow the two setup steps, then pick Text Expander Keyboard from your keyboard switcher. Adding your first typing shortcut takes under a minute.
