About this app
Turn any Android screen into digital signage managed from RDS
Read full description
Digital Signage RDS turns Android tablets, TV boxes, Google TV devices and displays into digital signage players managed from the RDS web panel. Build playlists with images, videos and web pages, schedule them by time of day and send them to all your screens at once. Keeps playing offline, supports web kiosk mode and signed USB drives, and pairs in seconds with a QR code. Requires an RDS account: rds.digitalsignagerds.com USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE (AccessibilityService API) This app is NOT an accessibility tool. It includes an accessibility service for one purpose only: to let the administrator of the RDS account the screen is paired with request, from the RDS web panel, a screenshot of what the display is showing, to check the content and provide remote support. On Android 11 and later, the only way to capture the whole display (including system dialogs shown over the player) is AccessibilityService.takeScreenshot(). - Before it can be enabled, the app shows a prominent disclosure with Accept / Decline. Nothing is captured without your consent. - If you decline, the app works normally without remote screenshots. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Remote screenshots. - The service uses only the screenshot capability: it does not read text on the screen, record what you type, perform actions or change settings, and it switches itself off if enabled without consent. - Screenshots are sent only to the RDS server the screen is paired with, are never sold or shared with third parties, and are deleted automatically (after 72 hours by default).
