Plan solar eclipses with maps, weather, terrain analysis & a 3D simulator
Witnessing a total solar eclipse is one of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles. Don't leave your location to chance. Eclipse Tracker is the ultimate tool to plan your observation. Designed with scientific rigor, it combines advanced mapping, real-time weather, and space simulations to ensure you are in the exact place at the precise moment. 🗺️ The best spot, instantly • Official shadow path and centerline (NASA / IGN Spain) • Score heatmap blending duration, altitude, terrain and clouds • Totality duration isochrones • Historical climatology (NASA POWER) and live forecast (Open-Meteo) • Bortle/SQM light-pollution overlay powered by VIIRS 🏔️ Terrain matters • Real DEM elevation (Terrarium) on every point you tap • 360° horizon sampled against worldwide topography • Visual warning when a mountain blocks the solar disk 🌌 A real 3D simulator • Real ephemeris based on JPL DE421 (astronomy-engine) • Sun with corona, chromosphere, diamond ring and prominences • 3D Moon with Lambert shading and proper libration • Deep sky: 100,000+ stars (HYG), 21 constellations, Messier catalog • Shadow bands and Baily's beads rendered in GLSL • AR mode driven by your device's orientation 🔬 SCIENTIFIC PRECISION Every value comes from authoritative sources: NASA GSFC, IGN, IAU, JPL Horizons, Hipparcos and the HYG Database. Every number on screen tells you exactly where it came from.
