HOW THIS APP USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE My Screen Time Pet uses Android's AccessibilityService API to detect which app is currently open on your screen. This is the core of how the app works: your pet reacts to the apps you choose to track, so the app needs to know when one of them is in the foreground. What it reads: - The package name of the app currently in the foreground (for example, com.instagram.android) What it does not read: - The contents of your screen - Anything you type, including passwords and messages - Any data inside any other app The service is configured with screen content retrieval disabled (canRetrieveWindowContent="false"), so this limit is enforced by Android itself rather than being a promise. All information stays on your device. Nothing is collected, transmitted, or shared. There is no account and no server. You are asked to consent to this before the permission is requested, and you can turn the service off at any time in your device's accessibility settings.
