THREE INDICATORS, REPORTED SEPARATELY Most asset management systems roll an asset up into a single score, which hides problems. Nova reports three things separately and never averages them together. Condition — Functional, Caution or Defective. Derived from every checkpoint on the asset. A failed check stays failed until that specific check passes again. Nothing clears itself. Compliance — Current or Overdue. Binary and time-based: it reports the record, not a judgement. There is no middle value to hide behind. An asset that has never been inspected shows No data, not Functional. An uninspected asset is an unknown, not a pass — nothing is assumed healthy because no fault has been recorded yet. Risk — how critical the asset is to your operation, set by you per asset type. An asset can be Overdue but Functional, or Current but Defective. Nova shows you both. The summary states counts, never an averaged verdict — if any of the three is in a failure state, nothing on the card reads as healthy. INSPECTIONS KEEP THE RECORD CURRENT Inspections are how the record stays true. Work through a checklist checkpoint by checkpoint, record a pass or a fail on each one, attach photos as evidence where it matters, and submit. The result is on the asset immediately. Checklists are configured per asset type, example - a fire extinguisher inspection receives fire extinguisher questions and a forklift inspection receives forklift questions.
